My decks look, AMAZING! Like I need to throw a party just to show them off amazing! And this is after many years of not being cared for correctly. They were already ugly and peeling when we moved in in 2021 and we finally decided to restrain them this year. Unfortunately, we first hired a cut-rate team and they made it worse! They didn’t remove all the old (clearly incorrect) stain and then applied more clearly incorrect stain. The result was a major sticky mess. Unusable decks! In desperation, we called several deck staining companies. One of them refused to even attempt a repair, another was super expensive. But then we called Julio. He expertly assessed the situation, used several different sanding techniques in small areas to determine the best way to move forward, and gave us a clear and reasonable estimate. And in the end, he performed a miracle! It turns out we have INCREDIBLE Ipe decks that will last many more years! We now have plans to hire Julio for our front decks and our siding. I couldn’t be happier!

I hired Julio (Nextgen) to restore and stain my deck, and I have to say—he did a fantastic job from beginning to end. The deck had weathered over time and needed serious attention. Julio came in, pressure washed, sanded it down thoroughly, treated the wood with a brightener/bleach wash, and then applied a beautiful Oxford Brown semi-transparent stain. I told him I didn’t want the deck to look like it was just painted—I still wanted the grain and character of the wood to shine through—and he delivered exactly that. The finished color looks rich and elegant, with just the right amount of natural wood showing.
Julio started early each day, worked efficiently, and kept me informed throughout the process. He paid great attention to detail, especially in making sure the surface was properly prepped before staining. Even with the unpredictable weather, he timed everything just right to make sure the deck cured properly. He also helped rinse the surface after sanding and was very respectful of my space throughout. He made sure to protect my pavers and artificial turf. He was very careful and caring..
One thing I especially appreciated is that Julio offered to come back after the stain cured to help move my heavy patio furniture back onto the deck—a huge help I definitely needed. I held a small balance until he returned as promised, and he showed up right on time to finish the job. I can not say enough as to how great and professional this young man is!
I would absolutely recommend Julio to anyone needing deck refinishing or similar work. He was professional, reliable, and took pride in doing the job right. My deck now looks like a brand-new space, and I’ve already received compliments from neighbors, family and friends.

I contacted three differnet companies to get a bid for my small deck refinish. Julio answered me on the first day and came out to give me a estimate the next day!
He was very straightforward with his bid and agreeable to work around my schedule.
He arrived at the time we agreed on and did a geat job. He was very professional. He kept the surrounding area protected and clean. The deck turned out better than I expected, I couldn't be more pleased.
One company I contacted never got back to me. Another took a week to repond, made and appointment and didn't keep it.
I enjoyed working with Julio. I will definetly use Next Gen Staining in the future.

Our deck and stairs had been weathered and needed some love. Julio came by for an estimate and was very friendly and transparent with his process and pricing. We agreed and they got started immediately. They did a fantastic job power washing, sanding and refinishing. The deck looked brand new by the time they were done. Highly recommend!

I hired Next Gen because of its owner, Julio. I received 4 estimates to refinish my redwood deck because I had no idea what it would cost, I usually did it myself but not anymore. I was amazed at the different estimates I got, ranging from $ 2,200 to $7,000, CRAZY! The different explanations I got for these bids was ridiculous. Julio is a relatively new company, small company, just him and his helper. I just knew that he would be the right man to hire plus his bid was the lowest. Well, I was right! He was friendly, on time and just did a wonderful job on my deck, I can't tell you how pleased I am with the finished results,. I would highly recommend Next Gen to anyone needing that type of work done. Plus, he replaced 2 existing boards that were bad and didn't even charge me! Great job Julio.
